New Mexico State University Carlsbad Community Education offers lifelong learning to individuals of all ages seeking educational options for the purpose of personal enrichment and self-improvement. Personal enrichment courses offered are in topics such as art, music, cooking, and pottery, to computer skills, yoga and welding. Our instructors range from retired professionals, NMSU faculty members and business owners within the local community.
Courses are affordable and can be taken in several hours to several weeks on our campus. Additionally, taking classes with NMSU Carlsbad Community Education allows you to meet other people with the same interest.
We’re always looking for new, enthusiastic teachers. Do you have a special or skill, interest or hobby you would like to pass on? If you are interested in teaching a class with Community Education, please contact us at 234-9268 for a Class Proposal Form or visit us on campus in office 1A or 1B.

- Fill out and return the registration form to the Community Education Department. You can also download this registration form . The form can be brought to Rm. 111 at NMSU Carlsbad, Faxed to (575) 234-9233, email to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail it in along with a check payable to NMSU Carlsbad address below:

- Payments can be made in the Business Office, Rm. 108, or credit card payments can be made over the phone by calling 234-9217 or 234-9219.
There is a point when a decision must be made to cancel a class due to low enrollment. Also some classes have a cap on enrollment and all classes are filled on the first-come, first served bases. Please register early.
