Academic advisors use Accuplacer test results to help place you in classes that match your skill level. The assessment helps identify your knowledge, strength, and needs in math, reading, and writing and to place you in appropriate courses in those areas.
Accuplacer stands for Computer-Adaptive Placement and Assessment Support System and is a web-based computer test. The first set of exams is free. The Re-Test fee is $3 per individual assessment or $9 for the entire set. It is recommended that individuals wait a minimum of two weeks to prepare for a re-test.
NMSU Carlsbad is closed on Fridays, May 21-August 5th
